Week with Mommy and Freddy - Part 2

Monday we found our way to Montjuic, where the 1992 Olympic Games were held. Again, it was a nice day and we walked around for hours.  First, we stopped at Las Arenas which is an old bull fighting area.  They shut it down during the 1990s and now it's a shopping center.  We went to the top where we had a panoramic view of the city.  It was pretty! We could see really far to the mountains and to Montjuic where we were headed.  We made a minor pit stop inside where we ended up getting fishy foot massages! Little tiny fish bite at your feet and eat off all the dead skin leaving your feet feeling super smooth! It was so funny, we couldn't stop laughing! It was so ticklish having little fish bite at your feet! Definitely something I wanted to try while I was here so I was happy I got to do it!

After our foot massage, we walked over to Montjuic.  Montjuic translates to "Jew Mountain" and was the site of the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympic Games.  There's a museum on top of the hill, the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya that looks across the city. We took pretty pictures of the area.  If you walk around, you come to the arena where they hosted the Olympics.  In the main arena that is up there is where they hosted the opening ceremonies as well as other major events.  There is also the Sant Palau Jordi which is where they had some of the indoor events.  At night, they have fountain shows with lights and music.  We went during the day so I will have to go back and see the light show! I was excited to see Montjuic because I love the Olympics and I had been wanting to go there for a long time.

Later, we went back to my apartment to meet the rest of my roommates.  We all couldn't be happier because they brought us so many goodies! Mommy and Fred brought us oreos, peanut butter, cheezits, goldfish, ramen, reeses peanut butter cups and more! We went to heaven in that moment.  After a little while, we went to get some pizza for dinner and headed back.

On our last day together, we walked around the streets; a more relaxing day than the past.  We walked up and down Passeig de Gracia where all the fancy stores are and pretended that we could buy all the Chanel and Furla bags.  We got tapas for lunch and met up a few hours later for dinner.  We went to Cera 23.  We had tried to go there the night before but got there too late.  It was a good thing we came back because it was one of the best meals I've had in Barcelona! They are famous for their blackberry mojitos so we had to try it. No wonder they are famous for it because they were amazing! One of the best drinks I've ever had.  For dinner I had seared tuna, something I had been craving for so long! Cera 23 was a great last night dinner; a great way to end a amazing week with Mommy and Freddy!
